Project: The Kirsch Building
Year: 2017
Location: Central Business District
In a powerful example of strategic reinvestment supporting both business expansion and urban revitalization, the professional services firm Kirsch CPA Group LLC established its new headquarters in downtown Hamilton in 2017, occupying a former CORE Fund building.
The 50-employee tax and accounting firm, relocated its headquarters from Fairfield after outgrowing its Village Green office space. Seeking room to expand and a more visible location, the firm chose downtown Hamilton for its next phase of growth.
Kirsch CPA Group moved into the former Fifth Third Bank building at 2 S. Third Street, and began operation in December 2017. This property had been held by CORE as a part of its initiative to stabilize and reposition key downtown assets. In September 2017, CORE successfully transitioned the building into private ownership by selling it for $1 to 312 North Second Street LLC of Louisville, Ohio, setting the stage for its productive reuse.
This relocation delivered significant benefits: it brought professional jobs and consistent daily activity to downtown Hamilton, bolstering the area’s increasing momentum. For Kirsch CPA Group, the new headquarters provided a central location, increased visibility, and the necessary space to sustain their continued growth.
The project perfectly aligned with the CORE mission to catalyze reinvestment and strengthen the city’s urban core. By enabling a growing business to establish a downtown presence and by transitioning an underutilized building to new ownership, CORE transformed the property into an active workplace. This action supported economic vitality and reinforced downtown Hamilton as a thriving location for a business.
